Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how MUWPay (Société par actions simplifiée, registered under RCS Nanterre 948 574 066, with its registered office at 120 Rue Jean Jaurès, 92300 Levallois-Perret, France — hereinafter "Muwpay", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit muwpay.xyz or use our cross-chain DEX & bridge aggregator platform.
By continuing to browse or use our platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Cookie Policy. Where your consent is required under applicable law — in particular the EU ePrivacy Directive as implemented in French law (Loi n° 78-17 du 6 janvier 1978 modifiée, together with the GDPR) — we will ask for it explicitly before placing non-essential cookies on your device.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, to work more efficiently, or to provide information to site operators.
In addition to cookies, we may use other similar technologies such as:
- Local Storage & Session Storage — browser storage used to persist user preferences (such as selected chain, slippage tolerance, or theme) within a single session or across visits.
- Pixel tags / Web beacons — tiny invisible images or scripts that may be embedded in pages or emails to record interaction events.
- Browser fingerprinting signals — non-identifying technical attributes used exclusively for security and fraud-prevention purposes.
For simplicity, all of the above are referred to collectively as "cookies" throughout this policy.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- To keep the platform secure and protect against fraudulent or malicious activity.
- To remember your preferences so you do not have to re-enter them on every visit (e.g. preferred chain, gas-price tolerance, interface language).
- To understand how visitors interact with our platform in aggregate, so we can improve performance and usability.
- To maintain the technical integrity of cross-chain swap and bridge sessions during active transactions.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They do not require your consent under the ePrivacy Directive. They are usually set in response to actions you take — such as initiating a cross-chain swap, connecting your wallet, or setting your security preferences.
Without these cookies, core features of the platform — such as transaction session continuity, CSRF protection, and wallet connection state — cannot be provided.
3.2 Analytics Cookies
We use privacy-first analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns — such as which pages are visited most, how users navigate between chains, and where performance bottlenecks occur. These cookies are placed only with your consent.
Where analytics tools are used, we select solutions that do not collect personally identifiable information, do not use cross-site tracking, and store all data on servers located in the European Economic Area (EEA). No data is sold to or shared with advertising networks.
3.3 Functional Cookies
Functional cookies allow the platform to remember choices you make to give you a more personalised experience. Examples include:
- Your preferred source and destination chains for swaps.
- Slippage tolerance and gas-price settings.
- Interface language and display preferences.
- Whether you have acknowledged a specific risk disclaimer.
These cookies may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our platform. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all of these preferences will not be saved between sessions.
3.4 Marketing & Third-Party Advertising Cookies
We do not currently use any marketing, retargeting, or third-party advertising cookies on muwpay.xyz. We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers. Should this change in the future, this Cookie Policy will be updated and your explicit consent will be sought before any such cookies are placed on your device.
4. Cookie Reference Table
The table below lists the main cookies currently placed by the Muwpay platform. Third-party cookies set by RPC providers or analytics tools operate under those providers' own cookie policies.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _muw_session | Maintains your active swap/bridge session state and prevents request forgery (CSRF protection). | Strictly Necessary | Session |
| _muw_sec | Security token used to detect and prevent fraudulent or bot-driven interactions during transaction flows. | Strictly Necessary | 1 hour |
| muw_prefs | Stores user interface preferences: preferred chain pair, slippage tolerance, gas-price setting, and display language. | Functional | 6 months |
| muw_disclaimer | Records whether you have read and acknowledged the DeFi risk disclaimer, to avoid displaying it on every visit. | Functional | 1 year |
| muw_cookie_consent | Records your cookie consent choice so we do not ask again on subsequent visits. | Strictly Necessary | 1 year |
| _plausible_* | Privacy-first analytics (if enabled). Counts unique visitors and page views using a daily rotating hash — no persistent identifier is stored across sites. | Analytics | 24 hours |
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit muwpay.xyz, a cookie consent banner gives you the ability to accept or decline non-essential cookies (Analytics and Functional categories). You can change your preferences at any time by:
- Clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page to reopen the consent panel.
- Clearing your browser cookies, which will also reset your consent record (you will see the banner again on your next visit).
- Using your browser's built-in cookie controls (see Section 6 below).
Please note that withdrawing consent for certain Functional cookies may impair your experience — for example, your chain preferences and slippage settings will not be remembered between sessions.
6. How to Disable Cookies in Your Browser
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. The links below describe how to manage cookies in the most common browsers. Note that disabling all cookies may break functionality on many websites beyond Muwpay.

For information on managing cookies in other browsers, please refer to your browser's official documentation. You can also visit aboutcookies.org or allaboutcookies.org for browser-agnostic guidance.
7. Third-Party Cookies & Services
Certain features of the Muwpay platform rely on third-party services that may set their own cookies or use similar tracking technologies. These third parties operate under their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.
RPC & Blockchain Node Providers
To read on-chain data and broadcast transactions, our platform connects to public and private RPC endpoints (such as those provided by Infura, Alchemy, or public node operators). These providers may log IP addresses and request metadata for rate-limiting and abuse-prevention purposes. No persistent cookies are set on your device by these providers through our platform.
Privacy-First Analytics
If analytics cookies are accepted, we use a privacy-first analytics provider. All data collected is anonymised, aggregated, and stored within the EEA. No cross-site profiles are built, and data is never used for advertising purposes or shared with third-party ad networks.
Content Delivery & Security
We may use CDN and DDoS-protection services to deliver static assets and protect platform availability. These services may set technical cookies (e.g. load-balancing session identifiers) that are strictly necessary for service delivery.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our platform's features. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- Display a prominent notice on the platform for a reasonable period after the change takes effect.
- Where required by law, seek your renewed consent before placing any new categories of cookies.
We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the platform after changes have been posted constitutes your acknowledgement of the updated policy, subject always to any legally required consent.
